Spyros holds a PhD in tribology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and has been active in the industrial fields of mechanical reliability and lubrication for over a decade. He joined Esso Deutschland GmbH (ExxonMobil) at the Hamburg office in 2015 managing research and development projects in multi-disciplinary fields. These include industrial gears, electric vehicles, condition monitoring and materials compatibility. After leading the tribology team at ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company’s headquarters in New Jersey, USA, he returned to Europe, where he is currently in charge of development for lubrication solutions addressing the needs of future fuel stationary gas engines.
